The torsion Part of an Enyaq’s rear suspension is the coil springs themselves, this type of spring is used on both axles of the car.
These springs are compression-springs, they’re intended to be in constant compression as they perform the job of absorbing forces transmitted from the ground to the cars body. Enyaq has a five-link rear axle, it’s an advanced and sophisticated setup, same as found on Tesla, Hyundai and other VAG-MEB cars etcetera.
I want to know the definitive FIX for my Enyaq’s awful rumbling and banging rear suspension and even if it means I have to buy the appropriate components and pay to have them fitted myself.
But I cant act; because everyone’s staying mum over this matter; reason is, I suspect: Skoda is terrified if the cat gets out of the bag and suddenly everyone and the pussy will want and expect to have they’re sodding suspension put right.
I’ve lost faith in Skoda to rectify this massive fault that’s been built into mine and hundreds if not thousands of other Enyaq’s and MEB cars. In English the problem is termed “A Characteristic of the car” and this is what you get fobbed off with, if you complain. On this forum I’ve seen it called “State of the Art”, its not dangerous, and wont cause accidents.
Obviously someone like Bilstein or H&R or Eibach will eventually develop a setup to fix my cars suspension, but that could be a long wait.
VAG tried to develop and roll out a brand new car platform during a pandemic, it was an admirable thing they did, they should now try not to forget about the people, who had faith enough to go out and buy the cars, the minuet the dealers doors opened after the pandemic was over.
