Yes, if more negative acceleration is required than the recuperation power is able to generate, the mechanical brakes kick in.

Also below 6km/h brakes will be used instead of recuperation.

Wenn ich die elektrische Heckklappe vor einem überlangen Objekt (Weihnachtsbaum) anhalte, stoppt sie zwar, arretiert aber nicht vollständig und geht mit jeder Bodenwelle immer weiter auf!

Gibt’s da eine Verriegelung, die ich (noch) nicht kenne oder muss ich, wie früher , mit Seil und Haken arbeiten?

Der kommt mir nicht in die Eny, Hänger, und gut ist es.

Nein. Musst immernoch etwas mechanisches (Seil oder sowas) nehmen.

If you want to force mechanical Breaking, just Switch to the N-„gear“

I want to understand the limits of recuperation braking even if I'm in D mode. Didn't know the N-gear trick, but it makes sense. The motor should be disengaged right?

What I got was: if I'm over 6kph, then if the blue bar isn't full, you're braking only via the electric motor. If you press harder on the pedal and the blue bar is full, you'll get both mechanical and recuperation.

I just want to understand how to drive more efficiently.

Nope, the car still uses recuperation. But the recuperated energy will be put to the heater.

Confirm by driving downhill for a long time at 100% during summer. It's getting cosy warm.
